Terms of Service

1. Acceptance and eligibility

By sending direct messages to @aglet.app on Instagram or by accessing agletapp.com, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use Aglet.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Aglet (matching Instagram's minimum age). If you are under the age of consent in your jurisdiction, you may use Aglet only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

2. What Aglet is

Aglet is an Instagram-based service that helps you save and organize Reels and other content you share via Instagram Direct Message. You send Reels to @aglet.app, and Aglet processes them into a personal catalog accessible at agletapp.com.

Aglet is an automated reactive service (a software bot), not a human-operated one. Your interactions with @aglet.app are with software.

3. How you use Aglet

You interact with Aglet primarily by sending direct messages to @aglet.app from your own Instagram account. There is no separate account to create with Aglet — your identity is your Instagram account.

You must have an Instagram account in good standing and keep your Instagram credentials secure. Aglet does not collect or access your Instagram password.

4. Your content

When you send Reels or other content to @aglet.app, you represent that you have the right to share that content with Aglet for the purpose of saving it to your personal catalog.

You grant Aglet a limited, non-exclusive license to receive, process, store, and display that content back to you to operate the service. We do not claim ownership of your content; it remains yours, and the original creators of the underlying Instagram content retain their own rights.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Share illegal content, content you do not have the right to share, or content that violates Instagram's terms
• Spam, flood, or otherwise abuse Aglet or @aglet.app
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with Aglet's service, API, or webhook
• Use Aglet in a way that could harm Aglet, other users, or third parties

6. Intellectual property

Aglet's name, branding, code, design, catalog views, and editorial choices are owned by Echains (the operator of Aglet) and are protected by applicable laws. You may not copy or reuse them without permission.

Content you share with Aglet remains yours. We take no ownership of the Reels or other Instagram content you send us.

7. Third-party services

Aglet relies on Instagram's API to receive and reply to your messages. Your use of Aglet is also subject to Instagram's Terms of Use.

Aglet uses third-party service providers listed in our Privacy Policy (Vercel, Supabase, Cloudinary, Hugging Face, Google) to operate. Aglet may also link to or integrate with third-party booking, travel, or commerce services in the future; we are not responsible for the quality, availability, or terms of those third-party services.

8. Affiliate disclosure

Aglet may, in the future, include affiliate links to third-party services (for example, booking or travel partners). If we do, we may earn a commission when you book or purchase through those links, at no additional cost to you. This will not influence what we save in your personal catalog.

9. Pricing

Aglet is currently free to use. If we introduce paid features in the future, they will be governed by additional terms presented to you before you sign up for them.

10. Privacy and data

Your information is handled according to our Privacy Policy. You can request deletion of your account and all stored data at any time — see Data Deletion for instructions.

11. Disclaimers

Aglet is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that Aglet will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that the content, recommendations, or third-party links surfaced by Aglet will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither Aglet nor Echains will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim relating to Aglet is limited to the greater of (a) USD 100 or (b) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by applicable law (such as for gross negligence or willful misconduct).

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Echains and Aglet harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from your misuse of Aglet, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to Aglet at any time if you violate these terms or use the service in a way that could harm us or other users.

You can stop using Aglet at any time by no longer sending Reels to @aglet.app (and, if you prefer, by blocking the account on Instagram). To delete data we have already stored, see our Data Deletion page.

15. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or relating to Aglet will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bangalore, Karnataka.

16. Children's privacy

Aglet is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a user is under 13, please contact us using the details below.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page indicates when they were last revised. Significant changes will be communicated by email or by an in-app notice. Your continued use of Aglet after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
